Calibration of the luminance output
of liquid crystal displays is necessary to ensure the consistent
presentation of medical images. This session will introduce the
participant to the theory and practice of display calibration via
the DICOM Grayscale Standard Display Function. Opportunity for
“hands-on” interaction with calibration software will be provided.
Also, the speakers for this session will be available for
independent discussion of the theory and practice of calibrating
both grayscale and color displays.
