Open Source Plug-Fest
Friday, May 16th, 8:00 am - 10:00 am
Room 611/612

Participants at the SIIM 2008 Open Source Plug-Fest were able to browse the bazaar of open source image projects and get a hand with learning to use open source tools!

The open source plug-fest was dedicated time at the SIIM meeting for participants to get hands-on exposure to some of the most successful open source projects used in imaging informatics. Representatives from many open source communities presented and helped attendees understand and get started using these powerful open source programs--from building your own DICOM or HL7 server to system management tools to help you keep a smooth running operation.
